Established in 1887, Thompson & Knight today is a law firm known for our capabilities in energy finance, taxation, business transactions, and an ability to resolve our clients' controversies in or out of court. The Firm has approximately 330 attorneys with U.S. offices in Texas, New York, and Michigan and international offices and associations in the Americas, North Africa, and Europe.

In addition to providing a wide range of traditional legal services to clients in many industries, the Firm takes pride in the depth of our experience in the energy industry. To reinforce the Firm's longstanding commitment to assisting clients with their global energy initiatives, Thompson & Knight formed a subsidiary that provides energy consulting services to the global marketplace. Thompson & Knight Global Energy Services, LLC offers a wide range of services to the energy industry, with a focus on procurement and supply chain management.

To leverage our knowledge base throughout the world, the Firm has made a significant investment in technology, providing the best possible service and value to clients. We regularly employ cutting edge tools and applications to assist both attorneys and clients in reaching superior results. Our litigation support department, originally dedicated to enhancing our abilities to provide multi-media support to our attorneys for use in trial and litigation, has expanded to provide wide-ranging technological support to all sections of the Firm.
