Five T&K Attorneys Named to Who's Who Legal: Mexico

Mexico - The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to congratulate its five attorneys selected for inclusion in the Who's Who Legal: Mexico ("Who's Who") special report published by Law Business Research Limited. Who's Who identifies the foremost legal practitioners in the local market and provides in-depth analysis of each practice area. The following attorneys were selected for this honor:

German Cavazos-Treviño is Of Counsel in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Firm's Monterrey office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property, antitrust, and corporate and securities matters in Latin America. Mr. Treviño has extensive experience in both public and private sectors, particularly in international trade and intellectual property policy.

Jorge A. de la Garza is a Partner in the Real Estate and Banking Practice Group and serves as the Firm's Monterrey Office Leader. His practice encompasses all aspects of commercial real estate transactions such as negotiations of purchase and sale, management and development agreements, contracts, and leases. Mr. de la Garza's expansive practice also includes the areas of banking, foreign investments, immigration, foreign trade, international mergers and acquisitions, global tax planning, licensing, and franchising.

Miguel B. de Erice is a Partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group in the Firm's Mexico City office, and his practice focuses on infrastructure and project finance. He has acted as a legal advisor to the Mexican Federal Government and some of the largest domestic and transnational companies on corporate, administrative law, communications, finance, and technology matters as well as infrastructure and privatization processes. In addition, Mr. de Erice has been involved in the highway system restructuring process in Mexico as well as port, railroad, and water PPA projects.

Jorge G. De Presno-Arizpe is a Partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group and serves as the Firm's Mexico City Office Leader. He advises numerous corporations on their initial planning, with particular focus on their labor law issues, and has broad experience in collective bargaining negotiations and strike procedures, labor litigation, and counseling at both the state and federal levels.

Carlos R. Valencia is a Partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group in the Firm's Mexico City office. He represents clients in regulatory matters, including antitrust, foreign investment, and regulated areas, including telecommunications, and acts in many instances as the Secretary of the Board. Mr. Valencia also serves as a legal advisor to various domestic and transnational companies, both publicly traded and private, on corporate and business matters in the areas of foreign investment, corporate and securities, technology transfer, licensing agreements, and joint ventures.
